The plot is located in the centre of The Hague, next to the town hall, in the city’s old Jewish neighborhood from before WWII. In the year 2000 the area was a heterogeneous environment without a defined character and with some social problems, where there are still now rows of small typical Dutch houses from XIX century along with commercial buildings and typical housings from the central European reconstruction period, as well as buildings from the 70s, 80s and 90s.
